Two Upthrusting Blades of Grass
8.20 m and 5 m high, natural oak, 1997, inner court of the Penal Institution at Würzburg.
The sculptures represent two cut blades of grass, which straighten themselves or thrust up. The tips of the blades can seen from all other inner courts of the prison. They also rise above the prison walls and thus symbolize the prisoners' longing for freedom.
